Palomino

The first Palomino Euro-bistro was located in downtown Seattle in 1989. I had the pleasure to work on that unit and then progress to the rollout of the concept nationally. Below is Palomino Pittsburgh. This unit, done after opening my own firm, is meant to re-imagine the concept to both localize it through the use of custom artwork but to also provide for a reduced budget. While similar to previous Palominos restaurants, subtle changed helped to meet the clients goals. My roll here was to bring my years of experience with the concept in planning, detailing, etc. and to create a project appropriate for Pittsburgh.

In addition to custom artwork, new custom chandeliers and other custom lighting helped to bring down costs while keeping the spirit of the original design.
