Located in Bellevue, Washington, Whisk is a new retail concept developed to offer a curated selection of kitchenware for the sophisticated home chef as well as a special cooking school experience. A highlight of the project is a contemporary kitchen classroom which can be viewed through the large display window at the back of the retail area. My goal was to provide a clean, simple interior where the large variety of items for sale would be the focus. Structured shelving on both sides of the room create a visually ordered system to simplify the display of product. I worked with the client to arrange product lines within and on the custom fixtures to show them to their best advantage. The project includes all custom display fixtures, custom designed whimsical whisk chandeliers and finishes meant to endure repeat classroom visits and heavy customer use.
