Egg n Joe was developed for Elmer’s Restaurants of Portland, Oregon. The restaurant specializes in breakfast, lunch and brunch. The goal was to provide a bright, modern and energetic interior that was simple to plan and execute for multiple locations. To date all locations are in the Phoenix area with expansion planned for the Pacific Northwest. Working with the Elmer’s team, my work included initial concept development and progressed to budgeting, planning and design. The design is intended to be bright and energetic to both welcome the guest but to also reinforce a relatively short guest experience. Bold patterns on the walls and floor add to the energy of the space. A sunrise photo mural over the exhibition cooking line helps to anchor the concept in the phoenix area.
